The Raffles World Academy Library is an integral part of our learning resource. All students, parents and staff are welcome to use the facilities and resources for study, research, exploration and enjoyment during the school hours 7:30-3:50pm.
Our mission is to inspire and encourage a lifelong love of reading and learning in our school community while supporting the curricular framework and co-curricular programs and promoting international mindedness.
The library supports teaching, learning and research in an intellectually and culturally open environment. We have almost 40,000+ catalogue items in the library. The Library collection includes fiction, non-fiction, biographies, reference, picture books, graphic novels, easy reading, big books, teachers’ resource, English as an additional language and books in mother- tongue languages: Arabic, French, German, Mandarin and Spanish, audio- visual resources, periodicals, posters and charts. Also, there are separate sections for inclusion resources and career guidance resources.
Our professional librarians work collaboratively with teachers to create rightful learning for all students. We serve to encourage our school community to become effective consumers of thoughts and information; to provide quality resources, to encourage reading for pleasure and to help students stay informed and become ethical users of information in a rapidly changing world in the 21st century.
Library staff will help you to find appropriate information resources and advise you on the research process. You can search for books, research database articles and educational resources by visiting RWA online library catalogue.
