I am delighted to welcome you to the Secondary School. As you explore our website, I have no doubt that you will be impressed with the range of opportunities that are available to our learners – inside and outside of the classroom.

The Secondary School prides itself on the high academic achievements of its students. We aim to ensure that every RWA student exceeds their potential.

The Secondary School accepts students from our Primary School and is also open to applications into Years 7, 8 and 9 and 10. We will discuss entry into year 11 with parents and staff on an individual basis.  Our Sixth Form accepts students from year 12 onto either the full IBDP or IB Courses. This can be discussed at interview. Entry into year 13 is unusual and not recommended.

The IB Learner Profile is an important part of school life at RWA and ensures that it’s not just about ‘what’ students learn, but also ‘how’ they learn. The ability to communicate, think, research and reflect are further enhanced through a range of activities, specialisms, expeditions and community service projects. Access to high performing sports teams, music ensembles, productions, art exhibitions and film making are all available at RWA with further opportunities on the near horizon. Expeditions (Duke of Edinburgh Award) are common place and service opportunities are frequently on offer to our learners.

RWA produces wonderful young adults who can make responsible and informed choices. Our students are able to face challenges and can cope with our ever-changing and challenging world. Our students are tolerant, patient and understanding towards others. They demonstrate compassion, tolerance and open-mindedness.

I am extremely proud to lead the Secondary School at RWA and sincerely hope that I have the chance to show you around our school in the very near future.
