‘Talented and Gifted’ refers to having outstanding ability in one or more areas of intelligence, creativity, academic achievement or special talents and abilities such as performing arts or leadership capacity. Individual teachers support the identified TAG students with challenging learning objectives, independent research opportunities, flexible grouping, etc. within the main classrooms.
Additional TAG services may be in the form of enrichment programs inside the general education classes or resource rooms. These include assigning student with individual projects and studies, attending lectures, debates, educational seminars, participating in educational competitions, providing students with programs to solve problems, programs of leadership, communication and computer skills, and other such enrichment programs.
The Head of student support coordinates and develops resources for the enrichment club in Primary. This is run as a co-curricular activity (CCA) for K- Grade 3 and Grades 4-5. In Secondary, our identified highly able students in each Grade are mentored by various members of staff. The Head of student support coordinates this mentorship programme.
