Welcome to Raffles World Academy (RWA) and your particular interest in the secondary school.

I always say to our teachers that ‘we have the best job in the world’ and in the case of Raffles World Academy teaching staff, we really do.

The opportunity to work with our students is incredible. Young curious, inquisitive minds ready to learn new exciting topics everyday makes the job of teaching at RWA rewarding and worthwhile.

The RWA ‘family’ is one where everyone can be the best that they can possibly be. Teaching staff who produce the very best lessons to students who gain the very best results. The collaborative professional student/ teacher relationship facilitates a vibrant environment where questioning and challenge are evident in every lesson, every day.

Parents are also an important part of everyday school life. The student/ parent/ teacher triangulation, puts student welfare and progress at the forefront of any collaborative decision. Parents are listened to, and active, in moving the school forward to become the very best International Baccalaureate school in Dubai.

Attainment outcomes and grades are obviously very important in any decision regarding which school to choose but at RWA we put the child’s happiness as the most important ingredient. A happy child is one who will thrive in an environment where questioning and curiosity are encouraged; pushing each individual to achieve their dreams and aspirations.

The secondary school is a place where simply, people (be it students or teachers) succeed and flourish.

At RWA we follow the Middle Years Programme (MYP) curriculum in grades 6-10 which follows a framework that encourages the students to make a link between their studies and real world connectives.

This develops individuals to be ready to embark on the IB Diploma Programme (DP) which is studied in grades 11 and 12. Should students be more suited to an alternative route at this stage we also offer the Career-related Programme (CP) including a BTEC National qualification.

Should you be interested in finding out more about our school please speak to our admissions team who would be more than happy to accommodate any questions you may have.

Once again, thank you for taking an interest in our school and I look forward to welcoming you in the near future.

Regards
